AnyZone pulls your zone via AXFR and serves it as a slave DNS backup. No account, no dashboard. Just a verification link.
7 zones currently served
We'll send you a verification link. That link is your access, no password needed.
Confirm your email, then add a small TXT record to prove you control the domain. We check for it automatically.
Add our nameserver IPs to your primary's allow-transfer list. Optionally add a TSIG key if your provider supports it.
Our three nameservers request the zone independently via AXFR and start serving it within minutes.
Your setup link shows live progress. We email you if transfers stop working, and keep serving your last copy until they do.
Everything here is designed to run quietly in the background.
ns1, ns2, and ns3 each pull your zone independently as slave DNS servers. No single point of failure.
Transfer failures don't take you down. We keep retrying and keep serving your last successful backup DNS copy until transfers recover.
We try authenticated transfers first, then fall back to plain IP-based transfers automatically. No configuration needed from you.
Your setup link is your access. Bookmark it to check status any time. We only email you when something needs attention.
Each zone has a unique status page showing exactly where it is in the setup process, updated automatically.
TXT record verification proves you control the domain before we transfer anything. No one can add your zone without your knowledge.
Add these to your domain's allow-transfer configuration and as NS records once your zone is active.
No. Your primary DNS stays exactly where it is. AnyZone only adds secondary nameservers, read-only mirrors of your existing zone. You keep full control.
That's fine. We also support IP-based allow-lists, which most providers offer. We try TSIG first and fall back automatically, so you don't need to configure anything differently.
We keep retrying and keep serving your last successful zone copy throughout. If transfers fail for more than a week we'll email you a heads-up, but nothing goes down in the meantime.
Some free hosted DNS services don't support this. See our docs for the standard workaround, or get in touch.
Every zone gets a unique status page at setup. The link is emailed to you and stays valid for 30 days. Bookmark it.
