ARTICLE 15: NATIONAL PARTY SECRETARIAT

15.1 Composition of the National Party Secretariat

There shall be a National Party Secretariat, which shall be the administrative organ of the Party. The National Secretariat shall be composed of the following executive and administrative support staff:

i. General Secretary.

ii. Deputy General Secretary.

iii. Administrative Officer.

iv. Logistic/Welfare Officer.

v. National Treasurer.

vi. Deputy National Treasurer vii. National Mobiliser.

viii. Deputy National Mobiliser.

ix. National Propaganda Secretary.

x. Deputy National Propaganda Secretary.

xi. National Youth Organiser.

xii. Deputy National Youth Organiser.

xiii. National Women Mobiliser.

xiv. Deputy National Women Mobiliser.

xv. Such departments and other staff as the National Executive Committee may approve.

15.2 Functions of the National Party Secretariat

The functions of the National Party Secretariat are as follows:

i. Serve as the Party Headquarters

ii. Serve as the centre for the administrative dispensations of the Party

iii. Serve as centre for the custody of all Party assets.

iv. Serve as a point for public enquiries and sensitisation regarding the programmes and policies of the Party.

v. Serve as a meeting place for the National Executive Board/Committee and any other organs and committees of the Party.

vi. Centre of operations for information, communication and education.

15.3 Regional, Constituency and Ward Secretariats/Offices

There shall be other Secretariats/Offices at the Regional, Constituency and Ward levels. The compositions and functions of these structures shall be in line with that of the National Secretariat. The National Executive Board/Committee shall have the powers to modify/alter the composition and functions of these structures as it deemed appropriate.
