Projects & Programs

Date: 08th July 2017:

A GDC Government will vigorously champion Gambian farmers and farming products. We will invest significantly in agriculture and create initiatives that will utilize the River Gambia for irrigation and large-scale agricultural production in order to eliminate hunger by making food accessible, enough and affordable.

Part of our plan is to create an industrial infrastructure through the establishment of factories and processing plants in which fruits, crops, vegetables and so on will be processed both for local consumption and for export.

This will enhance our industrial development plan to help boost the national economy through increased production and productivity and by extension create more employment opportunities for the citizens.

A few weeks ago, members of the GDC’s official family (executive members) have made recommendations to create the means to derive sustenance through farming to ensure food security and to show the whole world that, a leader must always lead by doing something that serves as a pattern of behaviour to be imitated.

This might spark the brains of those in authority and to every Gambian that ” the spirit of self-help is an essence of one’s own country” as going back to the farm will only equip us to learn how to depend by ourselves to register progress and to develop pride and dignity whereby excessive dependence on external interventions will be less needed.
