ARTICLE 22: PARTY FINANCE (FUNDING, ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT)

22.1 Funding

The Party shall derive funds from the following sources:
i. Subscription, fees, and levies from Members.

ii. Proceeds from investments.

iii. Donations and fund raising.

iv. Loans based on the approval by National Executive Committee.

v. Sales of membership cards, T-shirts, paraphernalia and other Party material/property.

vi. Gifts and grants by Governments, individuals or groups of individuals as allowed by Law.

vii. Any other lawful means.

22.2 Bank Accounts

i. The Party shall maintain bank account(s) for any of its organs/committees as approved by the National Executive Board/Committee.

ii. The Executive Committee of that level of the Party shall decide the Bank(s)/branches for such Account(s). iii. The following Officers of the Party shall be joint and valid signatories to the Party’s Bank Account(s) and other financial transactions:

a. The Party Leader and Chairperson
b. The General Secretary
c. The Treasurer
d. The Financial Director/Secretary

iv. The signatures of any three (3) of the signatories including the Party Leader shall suffice for bank withdrawals.

23.3 Audit of Accounts

The National Executive Committee shall appoint a competent firm of auditors to audit the accounts of the Party annually and present the reports of the audited accounts to the National Executive Board.
