Faji Kunda Major Health Centre 14th October 2020, with official GDC delegations – Madam Assanatou Jallow Kandeh – Chief Advisor, Momodou Wurry Jallow – Ass.Treasurer and Logistics, Isatou Jallow – Women Mobilizer, Jawando Jallow – Media Officer, Abdoulie Jallow – Mobilizer General and Ousman Mballow – Ass. Secretary General while the health centre staff including the – Officer In Charge (OIC) Ramatoulie Camara – who made the welcoming remarks while Abdoulie Badjie delivered the gratitude of thanking the delegation.
Ramatoulie disclosed her pleasure for the partnership from GDC Die Heart Family and Staff officials of FajiKunda Major Health Centre, she lamented the staff didn’t see the donated items as small but huge as long as there is money involved. She thanked the association so very much. Ousman Mballow thanked the executive committee of GDC Die Heart Family plus the staff of the health centre. Ousman said the major priority of the association is to partner and contribute through the Ministry of Health of The Gambia to support the UN SDGs goal to Good Health and well-being of Gambians as we cannot achieve Development when we are not healthy. He further affirmed that the association will continue and strengthen the partnership for donations of this kind in the future.
Jawando Jallow appreciated the presence of the association executive and staff of the health centre. He specially thanked Ya Fatou Jatta, a Gambian base in Germany who donated the association with this medical items, after the association executive committee met to discuss on the delivery, Faji Kunda Major Health Centre was prioritized due to the large coverage of catchment area and serving over 30,000 inhabitants. He further thanked Ya Fatou and all Gambians in the diaspora for such benevolent gesture and seek for others to copy Ya Fatou’s desire to support our development cause. The GDC DIE HEART FAMILY appreciates her affords. Jawando informed the gathering that this medical support is part of the association campaign that just concluded face masks distribution around the country to mitigate the fight against COVID 19.
Assanatou Jallow Kandeh expressed her profound gratitude to Dr Demba Sabally GDC party Chairman, who through his directive led us to this place today. She said the objective of this act is to support Hon. Mamma Kàndéh’s agenda of reaching out to the most vulnerable. She also sent her thankful remarks to Ya Fatou Jatta in Germany. She expressed gratitude to the staff of Faji Kunda Health Centre for accepting the gift and for taken their time to received the association members. She prayed, Almighty Allah bless us all. Admin Abdoulie Badjie expressed gratitude on behalf of the regional health team, the Minister of Health and staff of the health facility, he said, it is a sincere honour to receive the members of the GDC Die Heart Family through the leadership of Hon. Mamma Kandeh. He said for the staff, even a tin of Paracetamol is much for them, as words may not be enough to express how happy they are about such support to the health clinic, he said choosing Faji Kunda is well appreciated as the health facility is servicing a wide range of communities comprising of both Faji Kunda, Tallinding, Nema, Abuko etc, which is up about 300,000 people. He promised anything put into this facility will be used in the right way.
Badjie – Thank you for the support, saving life is the responsibility of each and everyone but contributing to save life is another thing but again, the most important thing is, in life, you may save your own by supporting someone else. He challenged all to follow the helping spirit of GDC.
